Sigma Engineering Works, part of Mazrui Energy Services is looking for skilled Valve Technicians for the Fitting shop to dismantle, clean, assemble and test the API equipment.
Ideal candidate will have the skill and knowledge to work on high pressure valves, x-mas tree, well heads, BOPs and manifolds.
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
- To follow and apply HSE policies and house keeping.
- To follow superintendent/ charge hand / technician / routing Instructions.
- Identify and use right tools for dis assembly/ assembly works.
- To follow correct assembly procedures and to use correct equipment for all jobs carried out in the department.
- To follow company procedures for the storage and handling of tools and equipment.
- Be able to work accurately to engineering drawings.
- Stripping and cleaning of Oilfield equipment.
- Assembly and Testing of valves, BOP's and other Oilfield equipment.
- To continually aim to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
- To be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Follow Sigma Corporate policies and procedures.
Minimum Required skills, knowledge and experience for the role:
- Knowledge of assembly procedures and equipment handling.
- Ability to read Engineering drawings
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Fitting Shop for the oil and gas industry.
- Recognized secondary school qualification
- Trade training certificate preferred but not essential
