Job Description

Job Objective

The Vendor Management & Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager is responsible for post-contract vendor management and operational execution across procurement activities. The role focuses on supplier registration, dd process , performance record, service delivery, contract compliance, and operational continuity, without involvement in sourcing strategy, supplier selection, or commercial negotiations. The position ensures that awarded suppliers perform in line with agreed terms and that operations run efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibility

Vendor Management (Post-Award Focus)

  • Manage supplier onboarding, registration, compliance, and operational readiness after contract award
  • Monitor and manage vendor performance related to quality, delivery, service levels, and contractual obligations
  • Lead performance reviews, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers with Quality

Contract Compliance & Execution

  • Ensure effective implementation of contracts and operational adherence to agreed terms and SLAs
  • Identify and report contract deviations or performance risks to Procurement leadership

Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities related to procurement execution, logistics coordination, and service delivery
  • Ensure alignment between operational plans and supplier capacity and capabilities
  • Monitor operational KPIs including lead times, service levels, fulfillment accuracy, and issue resolution
  • Drive operational process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and end-to-end execution

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary operational interface between vendors, operations, finance, and internal stakeholders
  • manage P2P teams to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely resolution of operational issuesCollaborate with the Procurement Managers by providing vendor performance insights and execution feedback

Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, approved contracts, and audit requirements
  • Maintain accurate vendor documentation, performance dashboards, and operational records
  • Prepare and present vendor performance and operational execution reports to management
  • Support supplier risk management, business continuity planning, and contingency execution

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Drive standardization and best practices in vendor and operational management
  • Lead or support operational excellence, automation, and digitalization initiatives
  • Coach and support team members involved in vendor operations and execution activities

This role does NOT include:

  • Strategic sourcing or supplier selection
  • Commercial negotiations or contract drafting
  • Purchase strategy, budgeting, or spend ownership
  • Category management responsibilities

Academic & Professional experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field
  • 58 years of experience in vendor management, operations, or procurement execution roles and leading P2P.
  • Strong experience managing supplier performance and operational excellence delivery post-contract
  • Experience working with vendor management systems and operational dashboards
  • SAP Experience
