Job Summary:
The Vibration Analyst is responsible for conducting vibration measurements, analysis, and diagnostics to support optimized reliability and performance of rotating equipment and critical mechanical assets across facilities in the middle east region. The role is based in Dubai, and this role will contribute to ENOVA's Smart Sustainable Services strategy for condition-based maintenance/Predictive Maintenance through expert vibration analysis and monitoring. However, it is not limited to vibration measurement or sensors only, the responsibility may require to other IoT sensors such acoustic, surface temperature, and so on.
Key Responsibilities:
Vibration Measurement & Data Collection
- Conduct routine and non-routine vibration measurements on rotating equipment including pumps, motors, fans, compressors, and chillers across UAE facilities.
- Utilize portable vibration analysers and data collectors to capture time waveform, FFT spectrum, and trending data.
- Establish vibration baselines and alarm limits for critical assets.
- Coordinate with site operations to schedule measurements with minimal disruption.
- Ensure proper sensor placement and measurement techniques per ISO 10816, ISO 20816 and another reputed standard.
Vibration Analysis & Diagnostics
- Analyse vibration data received from measurement of portable analyser as well as from IOT sensors to identify fault conditions including unbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, looseness, resonance, and other mechanical issues.
- Prepare detailed diagnostic reports with root cause analysis and recommended corrective actions as needed.
- Prioritize findings based on severity and risk to asset reliability.
- Validate findings through follow-up measurements and trending analysis.
- Support Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) for the critical assets.
Asset Condition Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor and report asset condition trends using vibration data analytics and digital tools.
- Maintain accurate vibration data within CMMS and performance platforms.
- Contribute to the development of asset health dashboards and KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, Availability).
- Determine appropriate vibration monitoring intervals based on asset criticality and condition.
- Generate monthly and quarterly vibration analysis reports for stakeholders.
Predictive Maintenance Program Support
- Support implementation and optimization of vibration-based predictive maintenance programs.
- Propose and validate alarm and associated setpoints for automated condition monitoring systems.
- Assist in integration of online vibration monitoring systems with BMS and analytics platforms.
- Provide technical input for CBM strategy development and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for scalable implementation.
Technical Support & Collaboration
- Provide technical recommendations to maintenance teams for corrective actions.
- Support maintenance planning with condition-based work order generation.
- Assist in spare parts optimization based on vibration data and failure trends.
- Coordinate with OEMs and technical partners for complex diagnostics.
- Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for site maintenance teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
- Certified Vibration Analyst (ISO Category II (CAT II) or equivalent or higher from recognized certification body (e.g., Vibration Institute, MOBIUS, BINDT, ASNT) is required.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferable.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
- Experience with rotating equipment in facilities management, industrial, or oil & gas sectors.
- Proven track record of conducting vibration measurements and diagnostics on HVAC equipment, pumps, fans, cooling towers, motors, and other mechanical assets.
- Experience with vibration analysis software and CMMS systems.
Job Specific Skills:
- Expert knowledge of vibration analysis techniques and diagnostic methods.
- Proficiency with vibration analysers and data collectors (e.g., SKF, Emerson CSI, Fluke, Pruftechnik).
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment mechanics, bearings, and drive systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 10816, ISO 20816, and other relevant vibration standards.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, fans, and chiller operations.
- Data analytics skills and ability to interpret complex vibration signatures.
- Ability to translate technical findings into actionable maintenance recommendations.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and vibration analysis software.
- Experience with CAFM/CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM).
- Ability to travel extensively across middle east facilities (mainly within UAE).
- Physical ability to access equipment locations and work in various facility environments.
