Job Description

Purpose:

Contribute to positioning the firm as an active player in fixed income credit sales and trading regionally and internationally through identifying key accounts and their investment strategies such as asset managers, hedge funds, family offices and insurance companies, HNW etc.

Responsibilities:

1.Execute security trades on behalf of institutional and retail clients based on research on fixed-income instruments.

2.Guide clients through the different processes in their relationship with the firm:

  • daily servicing and guidance on products.
  • formation of portfolios.
  • functions of investment instruments within the portfolio.
  • bonds and credit products value.
  • risk level of different fixed-income products in comparison to non-fixed income products.
  • potential reallocation strategies to take advantage of current market opportunities.

3.Identify and drive sales opportunities; creating and evolving relationships with prospects/clients.

4.Identify clients needs and generate trade ideas based on portfolio knowledge and develop and monitor risk assessments of such portfolios.

5.Identify new prospective clients through cold calling, marketing and networking. Manage and conduct training of the sales force to be able to further generate and close leads

6.Document information on each trade and ensure that all documents and account records are up to date.

7.Perform market research, analyze market conditions and work with clients to understand their financial goals, and work with them meet to their goals by identifying and purchasing the most suitable fixed-income products

8.Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of the role.

9.Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.

10.Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance.
  2. A minimum of 8 years experience in fixed income sales in the GCC.
  3. Solid understanding of the credit market. Good understanding of the EM curves, rates and CDS market.
  4. Experience with client onboarding procedures and awareness of AML requirements.
  5. Able to work and exercise judgement within tight deadlines as necessary in a trading environment
  6. Excellent knowledge of sales concepts, practices and procedures.
  7. Excellent client management skills.
  8. Strong analytical skills.
  9. Able Convey the message to clients to the trading team and vice versa.
  10. Excellent command of English. Arabic is preferred but not a must.
  11. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  12. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
  13. Capable of making timely decisions and anticipating consequences. Can identify, recommend and implement solutions for problems.
  14. Detail oriented; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
  15. Able to lead others by influencing and developing strong relationships.
  16. Excellent Microsoft Office and Bloomberg skills to help design runs, proposals etc.
