About the Role

Job Title: Vice President of Legal and Business affairs.

Job Location: Dubai

Department: Oil and Gas Development Company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Group's global legal and commercial strategy, leading major cross-border transactions and establishing a comprehensive compliance and risk control framework.
  • Oversee complex international legal matters, including cross-border contract management, dispute resolution, intellectual property protection, sanctions compliance, and export control.
  • Lead and support the commercial function by providing contract review, negotiation, and legal risk management for global business operations.
  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing global legal and commercial team, driving professional excellence and a strong organizational culture.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Law.
  • Must hold a valid legal qualification in China or an internationally recognized jurisdiction (e.g., U.S., U.K.).
  • Minimum 7 years of senior legal management experience in a leading law firm or multinational corporation.
  • Prior experience in the oil & gas or energy industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong expertise in international business law, cross-border investment and financing, and international arbitration.
  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and crisis management.
  • Strategic mindset with strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
