Vice President - Portfolio Management (Wholesale & Institutional Banking)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for end-to-end analysis and support in originating transactions across EDB's five priority sectors and managing the relationships with government and private sector clients. Provide analysis support in structuring and execution transactions. In addition, the candidate must support EVP, Project & Corporate Finance perform monitoring and reporting on key metrics, and portfolio management function.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Operational Responsibilities

• Provide end to end support to Project and Corporate Finance and Head of Distribution in

originating, maintaining, and developing relationships with EDB's clients:

- Develop and maintain deal pipeline tracker

- Support in developing EDB's Pitch-book for target customers

- Support in all administrative tasks associated with origination

• Create strong brand awareness within the UAE of EDB's role so as to make EDB a preferred

advisor for all financial / business transactions to our target client base

• Support EVP & the team perform financial analysis and support in structuring and executing transactions
• Support with legal and compliance task associated with executing transactions:

- Appointing technical consultant

- Developing draft credit application

- Coordinate with Compliance team in conducting KYC, AML and other checks

- Develop credit application

• Support EVP perform monitoring and reporting function:

- Check alignment with EDB credit policy

- Coordinate with Credit team

- Identify and escalate credit and compliance risks and issues

• Support EVP perform portfolio management function:

- Identify and escalate challenges and issues at portfolio level

- Develop and generate portfolio monitoring and performance tracking reports

- Conduct credit assessment

• Liaise with key operational functions to ensure client service delivery metrics are in line with set objectives
• Attend weekly review meetings with team to provide input ensure compliance with policies and procedures. All exceptions to be escalated as appropriate
• Proactively respond to and implement suggestions of Audit, Compliance and Regulators.
• Prepare responses to reports / queries raised by Internal / External Audit
