Role Description
This is a part-time remote Video Editor role. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing, producing, and enhancing video content for our platform. This includes editing footage, applying color grading techniques, creating motion graphics, and incorporating graphic elements to enhance visual storytelling. The role involves collaborating closely with the content and creative teams to ensure video content aligns with our mission to deliver high-quality educational materials.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Video Editing and Video Production
- Skills in Video Color Grading and Motion Graphics
- Knowledge of and ability to create engaging Graphics
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset
- Proficiency with industry-standard video editing software on Linux.
- Knowledge and experience with open source Linux based video editing tools like DaVinchi resolve (Rocky Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux), OBS Studio (Ubuntu Studio), OpenShot, etc. We are a Linux company. We do not and will not use Apple MacOS or Windows products, applications, or services.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team in a remote environment
- Must be willing and able to travel to Dubai, UAE, African countries or the US for onsite work, networking meet ups or business meetings.
- Familiarity with educational or training video production is a plus
- Mandatory experience with YouTube videos, YouTube shorts, Vimeo, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook video uploads and streaming.
- Knowledge or experience with Moodle is a significant plus.
- No college degree required.
- You must have a portfolio of your work already online.
