Video Editor (Remote)
Role Summary:
You turn raw footage into high-retention, platform-native content. You'll edit long and short-form content at scale, build repeatable templates, and collaborate with copywriters, producers, business development teams, and KOL-traders to regularly ship high-value educational and commercial content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long and short-form videos for YT/IG/X with strong captions, hooks, and pacing.
- Create dynamic visual layers with subtitles, charts, screenshots, b-roll, zooms, callouts, and memes (where appropriate).
- Maintain brand consistency via typography, pacing, color/look, sound design, intro/outro style, etc.
- Test hooks, cut lengths, caption styles, and CTAs. Iterate based on performance.
- Manage project organization workflows, exports, versioning, and fast revisions for clients/KOLs.
- Build and maintain a library of templates, sound effects, overlays, transitions.
Must-have skills:
- Editing mastery: Premiere/Final Cut/DaVinci (one is fine), plus motion basics.
- Short-form storytelling: ruthless trimming, pattern interrupts, pacing discipline.
- Great captions: readable, timed, emphasis words, clean formatting.
- Web3 familiarity: understands what's being said enough to visualize it correctly (charts, terms, tickers).
Nice-to-have:
- After Effects / Motion graphics ability (simple but clean).
- Thumbnail design / basic graphic design.
- Experience editing finance/trading content specifically.
Experience:
- 2+ years editing for creators and/or brands, preferably in the Web3 industry.
