Role Overview
The Video Editor is responsible for executing day to day editing tasks across campaigns, branded content, and social media productions. This role exists to support the post production team through reliable execution, strong attention to detail, and continuous creative development.
What You'll Do
Editing Execution
- Edit social media content, campaign assets, reels, and branded content based on approved creative direction.
- Execute clean cuts, pacing, sound balancing, subtitles, and basic colour adjustments.
- Adapt content across multiple formats and platform requirements.
- Ensure edits align with platform behaviour, audience engagement patterns, and creative direction.
Project Organisation
- Maintain organised project files, timelines, and exports.
- Follow department workflows, naming conventions, and delivery standards.
- Ensure assets are exported correctly and delivered on time.
- Communicate proactively regarding delivery timelines, revisions, or workflow issues where needed.
Creative Development
- Learn and apply Tribe X editing standards and creative expectations.
- Continuously improve editing speed, storytelling, and technical skills.
- Stay informed on platform trends, editing styles, and evolving social first content formats.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with Editors,Producers, and Creative teams.
- Communicate clearly on project progress and delivery timelines.
- Support smooth post production workflows across projects.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Must Have
- 2+ years of editing experience or strong portfolio work.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Understanding of editing fundamentals including pacing, transitions, and sound.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Strong interest in social first editing, storytelling, and platform native content formats.
- Ability to work effectively within fast paced creative environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience editing for social media platforms.
- Interest in luxury, hospitality, lifestyle, or premium content.
