On behalf of our client, an international bank based in Dubai, we are looking for a VP of Finance to join their team. This is a senior role for a qualified or part-qualified finance professional with corporate and investment banking experience, plus exposure to DFSA or ADGM, local VAT, audit, change management, and regulatory reporting. Strong stakeholder management and the ability to present recommendations to senior management are important.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial, management, and regulatory reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions to relevant regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Support financial control, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Work closely with senior management on reporting, planning, and strategic issues.
- Review and interpret financial data and present insights to management.
- Support change management initiatives, process improvements, and new product or regulatory developments.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax teams, and other internal or external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Assist with VAT, tax, and regulatory reporting matters as needed.
- Manage a small finance team
Requirements
- Corporate and investment banking experience is essential
- Experience with DFSA or ADGM is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of local VAT and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to present cases, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a small finance team with a hands-on approach.
- Willingness to get involved in ground work and day-to-day operational tasks.
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and prioritize effectively.
