What will I be doing
A Waiter/Waitress at Waldorf Astoria DIFC delivers exceptional, personalized dining experiences, supports daily operations, anticipates guest needs, recommends thoughtfully to enhance sales, presents food and beverages to the highest standards, and maintains a safe, immaculate environment, all in line with Waldorf Astoria's service philosophy and Forbes Five-Star standards.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
.Uphold Waldorf Astoria standards of culinary excellence, refined service, and immaculate presentation at all times.
.Consistently deliver warm, gracious, and anticipatory service, ensuring each guest interaction reflects the elegance, precision, and courtesy.
.Create personalized dining experiences by anticipating guest preferences and responding intuitively to their needs throughout service.
.Demonstrate expert knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage offerings, confidently providing detailed and accurate information regarding ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, and dietary or allergen considerations.
.Remain knowledgeable of daily specials, promotions, and menu enhancements, ensuring seamless and engaging communication with guests.
.Apply refined suggestive selling techniques, guiding guests through the menu and enhancing their experience through thoughtful recommendations and discreet upselling.
.Accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders using approved order pads and POS systems, ensuring clear and timely communication with culinary teams.
.Attentively follow up on the dining experience, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving concerns with empathy, discretion, and efficiency.
.Impeccably prepare and maintain dining areas by setting refined table arrangements with pristine linens, polished cutlery, elegant glassware, and attention to every detail.
.Clear and reset tables with grace and efficiency, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout service.
.Foster respectful, professional, and collaborative relationships with Team Members across all departments, maintaining a consistently high level of communication and teamwork.
.Participate actively in daily briefings and operational meetings to remain fully informed and aligned with service expectations.
.Contribute proactively toward achieving departmental goals and performance targets.
.Adhere strictly to legal and brand standards by verifying guest identification when required.
.Comply fully with all cash-handling policies, procedures, and financial controls.
.Attend all mandatory trainings and development programs as required by the management team.
.Adhere to all hotel security protocols, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation at all times.
