Position Summary
As a
Waiter/Waitress at Capital Motion, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests. You will serve food and beverages, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
- Answer questions about menu selections and make recommendations when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
- Relay special requests, allergies, and dietary needs to the kitchen accurately.
- Record orders and transactions using the MICROS system.
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including china, glassware, and service stations.
- Complete closing duties such as restocking, turning off equipment, and securing the service area.
- Present accurate checks to guests and process payments efficiently.
- Greet and acknowledge all guests according to Capital Motion standards.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation and ensure a memorable experience.
Standard Compliance
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
- Foster a positive working environment and support team goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to feedback and concerns from colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality or fine dining is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., MICROS) is an advantage.
- Professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Physical Requirement
- Stand, walk, or move for extended periods during shifts.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs or ramps.
- Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to handle trays, glassware, and utensils.

- Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
