The Supervisor will oversee and manage all aspects of inbound operations within our warehouse facility. He will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of incoming materials, and products.
Responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Motivate and support team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain high standards of performance.
- Operations Management:
- Coordinate and oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Verify received shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Direct the allocation of received inventory to appropriate storage locations within the warehouse.
- Inventory Control:
- Implement inventory management best practices to optimize space utilization and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as receiving accuracy, dock-to-stock cycle time, and inventory turnover.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inbound operations.
- Communication:
- Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations.
- Provide regular updates to management on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as Supervisor or similar role in Warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, Odoo) and inventory management tools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools for data analysis.
