A leading Construction Project is urgently hiring for the role of Welding Inspector (AWS / CSWIP)
QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Mandatory certification: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2.
- Additional NDT certifications are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Welding Inspector in construction, oil & gas, fabrication, or industrial sectors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct welding inspections in accordance with AWS, CSWIP, and project specifications.
- Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records.
- Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
- Perform visual inspections and coordinate NDT requirements (VT, PT, MT, RT, UT).
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify nonconformities and recommend corrective actions.
