Job Summary
Wet Infrastructure Design Engineer is responsible for preparing and developing design drawings, calculations, and reports for infrastructure systems, including water supply, wastewater, stormwater drainage, and roads. The role ensures timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks in compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations, while supporting senior engineers and contributing to multidisciplinary coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design drawings, models, and calculations for utilities, drainage, water supply, wastewater, stormwater, and road networks.
- Assist in the development of design reports, technical specifications, and tender documents.
- Ensure design deliverables comply with project requirements, international standards, and local codes.
- Update and maintain project files, logs, and version control of assigned documents.
- Contribute to meeting project deadlines by completing assigned design tasks on time.
- Support Senior Engineers and Team Leaders in reviewing and finalizing deliverables.
- Participate in the preparation of submittals to clients and authorities.
- Provide technical assistance during construction phases when required.
- Follow company quality control standards and document management procedures.
- Perform self-checks on drawings and calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in ensuring consistency across design packages.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines (structural, architectural, MEP) to ensure integration of design outputs.
- Support senior staff in resolving technical design issues.
- Continuously develop knowledge of infrastructure software, codes, and design practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel- PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD).
- 2- 5 years of experience in infrastructure design.
- Good teamwork, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the infrastructure design field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Very Good command of English (written-spoken).
