Responsibilities:
- Give food and water to animals.
- Examine animals for signs of illness or injury.
- Exercise animals.
- Train animals to obey or behave in a specific manner.
- Cleans and disinfects cages, pens, and yards and sterilizes laboratory equipment and surgical instruments.
- Examines animals for signs of illness and treat them according to instructions.
- Transfers animals between cages.
- Adjusts controls to regulate the temperature and humidity of animals cages.
- Records information according to instructions, such as genealogy, diet, weight, medications, and food intake
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
