Job Description

Manage the technician team responsible for performing vehicle electromechanical repairs, and keep the process

running in accordance with SOP to ensure target achievement, maximum productivity, quality, and profitability.

  • Diagnose and identify the malfunctions & the technical errors in the car and test them, if necessary, before proceeding
  • with maintenance
  • Maximize the use of all available resources to ensure the department is running most effectively.
  • Supervise the electromechanical technicians and facilities to ensure that they follow the proper Job order flow to satisfy customers, the parts department and the business office and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure requesting the appropriate spare parts according to the faults and required maintenance.
  • Follow up with the technicians on the workflow, which achieves balance and fairness within the group.
  • Know and understand the dealership's warranty policies and procedures.
  • Crosstrain the personnel to cover different roles inside the department to cover any manpower shortage effectively and
  • efficiently.
  • Realign employees who fail to adhere to instructions, company policies, etc.
  • Check the internal and external condition of the cars before conducting the job order and matching it with the requested job order.
  • Ensure the preservation of the car's internal and external condition by technicians, quality testers, car washers and drives which does not harm the car
  • Ensure placing all the replaced spare parts in the client's car after the replacement, except for the oil filter, oil, unless otherwise requested by the client
  • Set a high standard for shop cleanliness, equipment repair and general shop appearance and require that it be maintained.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance of shop equipment.
  • Organize and maintain proper use of the workshop's designated parking areas.
  • Analyse and eliminate practices that waste supplies, utilities, space and time.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a reputable dealership
  • Sound technical knowledge of vehicles of other brands
  • Solid Knowledge of maintenance/repair/ parts/accessories and vehicle areas
  • Good understanding of automobile engineering
  • State-of-the-art knowledge of innovative technologies
  • Excellent written and spoken English
