Job Description

Position: Workshop Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled workshop engineer to join our team and help us deliver top-quality services to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop and ensuring that all equipment and machinery are in excellent working condition. You will also be responsible for managing a team of technicians and mechanics, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all activities in the workshop, including maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all workshop equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the procurement of spare parts and supplies, ensuring that they are of high quality and cost-effective.
  • Train and mentor workshop technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the workshop, and take necessary measures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve workshop processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
  • Proficient in using computer software and systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
