Position: Workshop Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled workshop engineer to join our team and help us deliver top-quality services to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our workshop and ensuring that all equipment and machinery are in excellent working condition. You will also be responsible for managing a team of technicians and mechanics, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all activities in the workshop, including maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all workshop equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Oversee the procurement of spare parts and supplies, ensuring that they are of high quality and cost-effective.
- Train and mentor workshop technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the workshop, and take necessary measures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs, and provide regular reports to management.
- Continuously look for ways to improve workshop processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards.
- Proficient in using computer software and systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
