About the job:
About the role: the position depends on Develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all company vehicles, trucks, and equipment, prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
1- Coordinate scheduling with operations, logistics, and fleet departments.
2- Oversee daily workshop activities, ensuring timely and high-quality repair and maintenance work.
3- Allocate jobs to technicians according to skill level and workload.
4- Ensure proper documentation of work orders, service reports, and maintenance logs.
5- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
6- Provide technical guidance to mechanics and technicians.
7- Approve major repairs, overhauls, and parts replacements.
8- Track and analyze vehicle performance, breakdown frequency, and maintenance trends.
9- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
10- Recommend replacements, retirements, or upgrades of fleet assets.
11- Manage spare parts inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
12- Prepare annual maintenance budgets and control workshop expenses.
13- Optimize repairs to reduce costs without compromising safety or quality.
14- Analyze repair costs, fuel consumption, and spare parts usage.
15- Ensure workshop compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
16- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
17- Maintain strong teamwork and discipline within the workshop environment.
18- Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and cost summaries.
Qualifications:
1- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or any related field.
2- 7+ years Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Fleet & Transportation Field.
