Overview of the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor with a strong background in waste collection or Automobile/Logistics industry to oversee the daily operations of our vehicle and equipment maintenance workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising technicians ensuring timely maintenance and repairs, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring workshop productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily workshop operations and coordinate maintenance and repair activities.
  • Manage and guide technicians and mechanics to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure all repairs and servicing are completed within the required timelines.
  • Monitor workshop safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards and maintenance reports.
  • Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and inventory management.
  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues and support the technical team when required.
  • Ensure proper utilization of tools, equipment, and workshop resources.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of heavy vehicles, trucks, and waste management equipment.
  • Good communication skills in English, Urdu and Hindi. (Arabic is an advantage)
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting tools)
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Knowledge of workshop safety standards and maintenance systems.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in fleet or heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the UAE is essential.
