Job Purpose
As an Account Manager, you will be the primary liaison between our agency and a portfolio of key clients. You are responsible for nurturing client relationships, understanding their business objectives, and ensuring the timely and excellent delivery of advertising campaigns. You will translate client needs into actionable briefs for our creative and strategy teams, manage projects from conception to execution, and drive client retention and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Strategic Leadership:
- Serve as the main point of contact and trusted advisor for a dedicated portfolio of clients.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client's business, industry, goals, and challenges.
- Conduct regular strategic reviews and business meetings to align agency output with client objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for account growth and new services.
Project & Campaign Management:
- Lead the end-to-end process for advertising campaigns across channels (digital, social, traditional, etc.).
- Write comprehensive creative briefs and collaborate with internal teams (creative, media, digital, production) to develop strategic proposals and campaigns.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
- Present campaign strategies, creative concepts, and performance reports to clients with clarity and confidence.
Performance & Operations:
- Monitor campaign performance against KPIs and client goals.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Forecast and track key account metrics, including revenue, retention, and satisfaction.
- Manage contracts, invoicing, and financial health of assigned accounts.
Team Collaboration & Advocacy:
- Champion the client's voice within the agency while advocating for the agency's perspective to the client.
- Foster seamless collaboration between the client services team and all internal departments.
- Mentor and guide junior account team members (e.g., Account Executives).
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in an account management, client services, or similar role within an advertising, digital marketing, or media agency.
- Proven track record of managing multiple client accounts and complex, integrated advertising campaigns.
- Strong understanding of the advertising landscape, including digital marketing, social media, branding, and traditional media.
- Excellent financial and business acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management abilities; adept at using tools like Asana, Trello, or similar.
- Problem-solver with a proactive, client-centric mindset and the ability to perform under pressure.
