Role Description

AQE is seeking an Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage accounting records, and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate has strong UAE experience, solid knowledge of VAT and Corporate Tax, and the discipline to maintain clean books with minimal supervision. The role supports the Office Manager and contributes directly to effective financial control and business planning.

Salary: AED 6,000

Core Accounting

• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain an accurate general ledger.
• Perform a full set of accounts and ensure the month-end closing is on time.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Monitor cash flow, daily cash position, and working capital.

Financial Control & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Prepare VAT returns and tax calculations, and coordinate with consultants as required.
• Support annual external audits and provide required documentation.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and workflow improvements.

Budgeting & Analysis

• Assist in annual budget preparation and conduct variance analysis.
• Analyze cost structures and highlight opportunities for savings.
• Prepare additional financial analyses requested by management.

Banking & Documentation

• Liaise with banks regarding L/Cs, L/Gs, and credit facilities.
• Review and approve payment vouchers and supporting documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience in the UAE (HVAC/MEP contracting experience preferred).
• Strong command of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
