Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Qesm 2nd 6 October. The Accountant will handle daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts. The role includes preparing financial reports, assisting with monthly and year-end closing, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accountant will help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and local regulations, and will assist with audits and documentation. The position also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and improve financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of relevant accounting standards, taxation basics, and audit procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical reasoning abilities.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in managing financial data and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a business management or services environment.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Qesm 2nd 6 October and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
