We are hiring an Accounting & Tax Manager to own the integrity of our financial reporting and accounting operations. This is a critical role responsible for leading month-end close, ensuring accuracy across the general ledger, strengthening internal controls, and maintaining full audit readiness. The Chief Accountant will also play a key role in embedding scalable accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics as we expand across markets and complexity increases.
This role is foundational to building a finance function that leadership can depend on for trusted numbers, strong governance, and financial stability as the business grows.

Job Description
Month-End Close & Financial Integrity (35%)
- Lead the full close cycle with a target of 57 working days
- Maintain strong cut-off discipline and minimal post-close adjustments
- Ensure P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow are accurate and audit-ready for all markets
- Maintain complete reconciliation schedules across all key accounts
Accounting Controls & Compliance (25%)
- Ensure full balance sheet reconciliation discipline
- Design and enforce strong internal financial controls and approval workflows
- Manage VAT, corporate tax coordination, and statutory compliance
- Support transfer pricing compliance and intercompany accounting across markets
- Act as primary accounting owner during audits
Inventory & COGS Accounting (20%)
- Own inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation processes
- Ensure landed cost accuracy across manufacturing, freight, duties, and warehousing
- Partner closely with Supply Chain to maintain cost discipline
ERP & Process Scalability (20%)
- Act as Finance owner for accounting processes in Microsoft Dynamics
- Support transformation initiatives, including automation, data platform adoption, and system enhancements
- Ensure financial workflows and reporting structures are correctly implemented
- Drive automation and reduce manual work across accounting operations
- Standardise processes to support international growth and scale
Key Responsibilities Summarized
- Own the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements
- Deliver a fast, clean, and predictable month-end close
- Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and supported monthly
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and strong financial controls
- Protect gross margin through disciplined inventory and COGS accounting
- Oversee compliance across VAT and corporate tax obligations
- Embed scalable accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics
- Support the Head of Finance in building a world-class finance function
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 5-7+ years experience in Big 4 audit firms, 1-2 years experience in industry a plus
- Experience in FMCG, retail, or inventory-heavy businesses preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Excel ability
- Mastery of IFRS and GAAP
- Confident with tax law and compliance
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
- Highly detail-oriented with strong process discipline
- Comfortable operating hands-on in a scaling business
