Role Summary:
The aim of this role is to provide analytical support for the Financial Planning and Analysis Function, contributing to budgeting, forecasting and financial performance monitoring across the organisation.
The role will support the consolidation of financial data, contribute to financial modelling and analysis, and assist in improving financial planning processes and reporting tools used within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports for management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reporting
- Support the consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial trends, and business drivers to support decision-making
- Prepare materials and analysis for management and executive discussions
- Support the development of financial dashboards and performance tracking tools
- Assist in the consolidation of financial data within planning tools (such as Anaplan) and ensure proper governance of planning systems
- Maintain awareness of the industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in financial planning
Knowledge/ Skills/ Competencies Required
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the insurance industry or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful insights.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial planning software).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement mindset and a drive for results.
- Knowledge of insurance industry dynamics and regulatory requirements is desirable.
