The accountant will be required to work as part of the finance team to manage the finance department with responsibility for the Accounts Payable of GroupM by always implementing and adhering to financial best practice.
Additional requirements:
- To constantly monitor the remit functionality; to maintain accurate, up-to-date records and submit regular monthly reports to agreed standards as required to ensure the remit's effectiveness is maximized and its activities are in line with overall group strategy.
- To handle duties related to Accounts Payable, following up with vendors and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- To handle all bank reconciliations.
- To have knowledge of all kinds of taxes to ensure that the proper calculations of taxation
- Work collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting audits.
- Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts.
- Additionally, the jobholder is expected to suggest and implement improvements to internal procedures and controls to improve efficiency, reduce costs and to promote and protect the business interests of GroupM wherever possible.
- To carry out duties as tasked, ensuring that Groupm service standards, objectives, internal policies & procedures and code of conduct are met or exceeded at all times.
Must-haves
- From 3 to 6 years experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Accounts payable management.
- Strong computer skills are obligatory especially for MS office and accounting systems.
- Very good command in English and Arabic
- Bachelor degree in finance or audit is a must.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with audit firms or finance exposure with a multinational company
- Previous experience in media Agency
