Reports to: Senior Director, Tomorrow's Leaders Programs
Purpose: The job holder will be asked to perform a critical role in furthering the Tomorrow Leaders Undergraduate (TLU) program's mission and objectives of creating a strong foundation for a cadre of civic-minded, intellectually able, and professionally skilled University students, well-prepared to become future community and business leaders. He/she will work closely with the academic director and the Tomorrows Leaders (TL) senior director to further develop the TLU's strategic plans and implement leadership, employability, and civic education modules and sponsor-approved work plans. Also, work with external partners and different departments at The American University in Cairo (AUC) to ensure effective collaboration, efficient use of established programs and effective integration of the TLU students in the AUC community.
Principal Accountabilities
- :Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the TLU program and project implementation, and manage all daily operation
- sLead the development and execution of selection plans for new TLU cohorts, in collaboration with the recruitment partner, AUC's admissions, and student financial affairs office as neede
- dDevelop and update TL's scholarship student grant agreement's terms and condition
- sDirect the development and implementation of all curricula and training programs and annual work plans in collaboration with the academic directo
- rConduct ongoing research of experiential learning and leadership education programs and refine the TLU's leadership module and professional development progra
- mCoach and guide coordinators in managing student special cases and at-risk students including development of customized intervention plan
- sOversee the development of the TLU's students manual, policies and procedures manual, and the annual student safety and security guideline
- sExplore new collaboration opportunities and work closely with AUC's different departments, such as the Office os Student Life, Career Office, Gerhart Center, Office of Undergraduate Research, International Programs and Services Office,Office of International Students and Study Abroad ensure efficient use of established programs and effective integration of the TLU students in the AUC communit
- yTrain, supervise and provide support to TLU's professional staf
- fOversee the development and delivery of special orientation programs including information sessions, freshmen orientation programs, pre-departure and reentry orientations for semester abroad student
- sDevelop and follow the execution of peer to peer student mentoring programs and work closely with the academic director to ensure the smooth execution of faculty mentoring program
- sWork closely with the well-being officer to ensure proper monitoring and follow up on students personal developmen
- tOversee the program information management systems including collection and analysis of students and alumni dat
- aOversee the communications and outreach efforts in close collaboration with the senior communications office
- rWork closely with the monitoring and evaluation manager to monitor projects activities, outputs and progress towards expected indicator
- sAssist in the development of new TLU grants proposals in collaboration with the TL's senior director and Office of Sponsored Program
- sOversee the development of the quarterly and final reports, and attend regular check-in calls with the sponso
