Position Overview
Shape the backbone of TXG. As a MidSenior Backend Developer (Node.js), you'll design and build the services that power our global money movement products. From secure APIs and scalable data flows to payment integrations and compliance layers, you'll ensure that our platform is robust, resilient, and ready to handle millions of transactions. You will collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver high-performance financial applications at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development - Build, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- API Design & Integrations - Design secure, well-documented RESTful and GraphQL APIs; integrate with external financial services, payment providers, and blockchain platforms.
- Database Management - Architect and optimize data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL) to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Security & Compliance - Implement best practices for authentication, authorization, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
- Performance & Scalability - Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring stability under high loads and global usage.
- Testing & Quality Assurance - Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure service reliability.
- Collaboration - Partner with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business goals.
- Best Practices - Contribute to code reviews, maintain documentation, and follow clean code and architecture principles.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Solid knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption, PCI/AML considerations in FinTech).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to payment gateways, digital asset custody, or blockchain integrations.
- Knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
- Prior experience in fintech or financial services.
