We're supporting a leading organisation on a large-scale transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Business Architect to play a key role in shaping end-to-end customer journeys, operating models, and enterprise capabilities.
This is a high-impact contract role, working closely with senior stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to drive strategic change and ensure alignment across all layers of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design of customer journeys across front, middle, and back-office functions
- Define and evolve target operating models (TOM) aligned to business strategy
- Develop and maintain business capability frameworks and mappings
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable transformation initiatives
- Ensure alignment across processes, systems, data, governance, and operations
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and manage senior stakeholder engagement
- Identify capability gaps, inefficiencies, and optimisation opportunities
- Embed risk, compliance, and governance considerations into architecture design
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Architect / Operating Model Consultant / Transformation Lead
- Strong background in enterprise or business architecture within large-scale environments
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Customer journey mapping & service design
- Target operating model (TOM) design
- Business capability modelling
- Process optimisation (BPM/BPMN preferred)
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills (C-suite exposure preferred)
- Experience working on transformation programmes (banking/FS preferred but not essential)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Background in consulting (Big 4 / strategy firms)
- Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF, Lean, Agile
