Job Title: Business Development Manager Middle East (IT Consulting, Resourcing & Products)

Location: Dubai, UAE (Remote / Travel to client locations)

Salary: Competitive base + Uncapped Commission

Akoni Technologies is a fast-growing IT Consulting and Resourcing company specialising in ServiceNow, Oracle Cloud, Cyber Security, Integrations, ERP Implementation, Data, DevOps and Software Engineering. We support public and private-sector organisations by providing high-quality consultants (on-demand resourcing), delivery teams and niche technology specialists.

As part of our expansion into the Middle East, this role represents one of the first commercial hires in the UAE and will play a critical role in establishing Akoni's regional presence. In addition to consulting and resourcing services, the role will also support the future commercialisation of Akoni-owned products.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager Middle East will be responsible for securing new private/Public sector business across Akoni's IT consulting and resourcing offerings, while also contributing to the go-to-market strategy for Akoni's upcoming products.

This is a hands-on, revenue-generating role focused on opening new accounts, building long-term client relationships and closing profitable deals. You will act as a key commercial representative for Akoni in the UAE and wider Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Generation

  • Identify, target and secure new private-sector clients across Finance, Retail, Energy, Technology, Oil, & Gas, Manufacturing, Legal and Healthcare sectors.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline covering consulting engagements, project delivery and IT resourcing.
  • Drive outbound business development through LinkedIn, email, networking events, partnerships and direct outreach.
  • Position Akoni as a trusted delivery partner for digital transformation, cloud, cyber, data and technology-led programmes.
  • Support early-stage selling and positioning of Akoni's proprietary products as they are introduced to market.

Deal Ownership & Commercial Negotiation

  • Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting qualification pitching proposals negotiation deal closure.
  • Develop tailored proposals, capability decks and commercial offerings aligned to client needs.
  • Confidently negotiate rates, margins, MSAs, SOWs and commercial terms.
  • Ensure deals meet agreed revenue, margin and delivery expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, Transformation Leads, Procurement and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Represent Akoni in client meetings, industry events, partner sessions and networking forums across the UAE and Middle East.
  • Understand client challenges and shape solutions leveraging Akoni's consulting, resourcing and delivery capabilities.

Market & Sector Intelligence

  • Track market trends and emerging demand across digital transformation, AI, cyber security, cloud and data.
  • Monitor competitor offerings, pricing models and sector developments.
  • Provide market insight to leadership to support service development, pricing and regional strategy.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Delivery Leads to shape solutions and align consultants to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Bid teams on campaigns, content and client propositions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasts and performance updates for leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in private-sector IT business development, consulting sales or technology resourcing.
  • Demonstrated success in winning new clients and closing commercial deals.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong understanding of IT consulting, digital transformation and resource augmentation models.
  • Confident negotiator with experience handling MSAs, SOWs, rate cards and commercials.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing structured sales pipelines.
  • Comfortable representing the company externally with senior decision-makers.
  • Experience selling into mid-market and enterprise organisations.
  • Exposure to high-growth sectors such as FinTech, Oil & Gas, Energy, Retail Tech and Insurance.
  • Experience selling both project-based consulting and contract / permanent resourcing.
  • Prior experience supporting or launching technology products is a plus.
