Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will establish and scale VIPKid's presence in Saudi Arabia by driving B2B and B2G revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding institutional adoption of VIPKid's online English program and custom education solutions.
This role focuses on revenue generation through corporate, government, school, charity, and institutional channels, while also supporting B2C growth through partnership driven
demand generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and acquire new institutional clients including:
- Private & public schools
- Universities and training institutes
- Corporations (HR, L&D departments)
- Government ministries and semi-government entities
- Charities and foundations
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contracting and revenue collection
- Design and pitch tailored English programs, blended solutions, and custom curriculum offerings.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and partnership frameworks.
- Develop new market segments including after-school programs, enrichment programs, scholarship initiatives, and sponsored English programs.
- Develop strategic partnerships to expand VIPKid's footprint in Saudi Arabia.
- Create scalable institutional models such as:
- School-wide English enhancement programs
- Corporate English upskilling programs
- Government-sponsored digital English initiatives
- NGO/charity scholarship programs
- Establish referral and ecosystem partnerships that drive B2C enrollment growth.
- Represent VIPKid at education exhibitions, conferences, and community events.
- Identify opportunities to localize or adapt products to meet Saudi market needs.
- Maintain and manage a robust CRM pipeline with accurate forecasting.
- Ensure consistent follow-up and high conversion rates.
- Act as primary account manager for key institutional clients.
- Strengthen long-term partnerships through proactive communication and service excellence.
- Collaborate with HQ teams to ensure successful program implementation.
- Conduct ongoing market research on:
- English education trends
- Government initiatives (Vision 2030 education focus)
- Competitive landscape
- Procurement cycles
- Provide regular revenue forecasts and performance reports.
- Share structured insights with HQ regarding product gaps, pricing strategy, and competitive positioning.
- Own revenue forecast accuracy and pipeline transparency.
- Work closely with:
- Academic teams (custom curriculum delivery)
- Marketing (local campaigns and branding)
- Operations (client onboarding and delivery)
- Contribute to brand positioning strategy in KSA.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Additional business, sales, or education certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 46 years of business development experience in Saudi Arabia.
- Proven B2B and/or B2G sales experience (education sector preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience in education, EdTech, training, or language learning is strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and commercial structuring skills.
- Ability to build C-level and government relationships.
- High ownership and independent working capability.
- Strong analytical mindset with pipeline management discipline.
- CRM proficiency and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build market presence from early stage.
