Power BI Developer
Location: Cairo Egypt
The Report Builder is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality management and operational reports using the centralized Data Mine. The role focuses on delivering accurate, consolidated, and decision-ready reporting across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, while supporting automation and future advanced analytics use cases.
The role works closely with the Business Intelligence Lead, Backend Team, and ICT teams to ensure reliable integrations, high-quality reports, and scalable reports that underpin operational reporting and decision-making across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI, SQL, and Excel, ensuring optimal performance and usability
- Replicate standard ERP (Dynamics 365 Finance) reports while creating new KPIs and management insights to support business decision-making
- Deliver consolidated reporting across multiple legal entities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with business definitions
- Build and manage robust data models, including semantic layers, datasets, measures, and calculated fields to support scalable reporting
- Own and maintain data transformation processes (ETL), including staging, validation, and adherence to medallion architecture principles
- Ensure data integrity through reconciliation with ERP systems, implementation of data quality checks, and proactive identification and escalation of discrepancies
- Integrate and manage data from multiple enterprise systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, ACCPAC, CargoWise), ensuring all reporting is sourced from the centralized data platform
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and views to support efficient data processing and high-performance analytics
- Document reporting logic, KPI definitions, and data assumptions, ensuring transparency and maintainability of analytics solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations) to gather requirements, deliver insights, and support report adoption
- Provide guidance to business users on report usage and interpretation, driving data literacy and effective decision-making
- Support advanced analytics initiatives, including forecasting and anomaly detection, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation
- Ensure timely delivery of reporting solutions with a strong focus on data accuracy, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous enhancement
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in BI reporting or management reporting
- Strong understanding of finance and operational reporting concepts
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-level Power BI solutions
- Exposure to advanced analytics or ML concepts is an advantage (not mandatory)
- Proven experience in backend development supporting ERP or enterprise systems (D365 experience preferred)
- Strong experience in SQL development, database optimization, and data transformation logic.
- Experience working with BI teams to enable reporting and analytics solutions
