Job Title: CAFM & Technologies Adviser – Facilities Management Advisory

POSITION SUMMARY

The CAFM & Technologies Adviser plays a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of SPARK's Facilities Management (FM) operations through the strategic implementation and optimization of Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and emerging FM technologies.
This role is responsible for advising on, managing, and continuously improving the deployment of CAFM and related technologies to enhance asset management, maintenance, space planning, and operational decision-making. The Adviser will collaborate closely with FM teams, IT, and external technology providers to ensure digital solutions meet SPARK's current and future needs, delivering efficient, data-driven FM services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. CAFM System Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive CAFM strategy aligned with SPARK's FM goals, operational requirements, and digital transformation roadmap.
- Lead the selection, customization, and rollout of CAFM software and modules, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT and FM systems.
- Manage CAFM system updates, upgrades, and configuration changes to continuously improve functionality and user experience.
- Ensure the CAFM platform supports key FM processes such as asset management, maintenance scheduling, space and occupancy management, and compliance tracking.
- Develop policies and procedures governing CAFM usage, data governance, and system security.
2. Technologies Advisory & Innovation
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to FM, including IoT, Building Management Systems (BMS), smart sensors, AI-driven analytics, digital twins, and mobile platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making.
- Pilot and oversee the integration of new digital tools into SPARK's FM ecosystem, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and value realization.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and consultants to customize solutions tailored to SPARK's unique infrastructure and operational needs.
3. Data Management & Analytics
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive data input, validation, and maintenance within the CAFM system to support reliable reporting and analytics.
- Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable insights into asset performance, maintenance trends, space utilization, and service delivery.
- Support FM leadership with data-driven decision-making by interpreting complex datasets and highlighting operational risks and opportunities.
- Promote a culture of data quality, transparency, and continuous improvement across FM teams.
4. Training & User Support
- Develop and deliver training programs for CAFM users across FM departments to ensure effective and consistent system utilization.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshoot CAFM-related issues promptly to minimize disruption.
- Prepare user manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures related to CAFM and associated technologies.
- Foster user engagement and feedback mechanisms to identify system enhancements and address challenges.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Facilities Management, Engineering, IT, Procurement, and external service providers to align technology initiatives with operational needs.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams implementing FM infrastructure, ensuring digital solutions are embedded from project inception through handover.
- Represent SPARK's FM technology interests in meetings with vendors, consultants, and industry forums.
- Support compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and IT governance standards in all CAFM-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in CAFM system management, FM technologies, or digital transformation projects within FM or infrastructure sectors.
- Hands-on expertise with leading CAFM platforms (e.g., Concept, IBM TRIRIGA, ARCHIBUS, Planon, etc.).
- Strong understanding of FM processes, asset management, and maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with emerging FM technologies such as IoT, BMS, predictive maintenance tools, and digital twins.
- Experience working in complex, large-scale environments, preferably industrial or energy sector.
- Knowledge of IT integration, data governance, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
