Chief Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead Baytonia's finance operations. This role will oversee all accounting activities, ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, and provide financial insights to support our continued growth in the e-commerce and retail furniture sector.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including payables, receivables, inventory costing, payroll, and general ledger.

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and Saudi ZATCA requirements (VAT, WHT, and Zakat).

Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.

Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and support treasury functions.

Collaborate with management on budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.

Provide actionable financial analysis to support commercial, retail, and e-commerce operations.

Lead ERP/accounting system enhancements (experience with Odoo or similar systems is a plus).

Supervise and develop a small accounting team.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, SOCPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is highly preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi regulations, including ZATCA (VAT, WHT, and Zakat) compliance.

Hands-on experience in e-commerce or retail (furniture or consumer goods preferred).

Experience with ERP/accounting software (Odoo, Oracle, SAP, or similar).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
