Role Overview
We're looking for a strategic and commercially-minded Chief Financial Officer to lead mTransform's financial function at a pivotal stage of growth — spanning digital asset ecosystems, blockchain infrastructure, and enterprise transformation services. This role sits at the intersection of traditional financial governance and the emerging Web3 economy, requiring someone who is equally fluent in IFRS-compliant reporting, crypto treasury dynamics, and the UAE's evolving regulatory landscape across ADGM, VARA, and CBUAE. You'll be a key member of the executive leadership team, shaping the company's financial future in one of the world's most dynamic technology and digital finance hubs.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business cases.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports with variance analysis and insightful commentary.
Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, external audits, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Partner with external auditors and regulatory bodies — including ADGM, VARA, and CBUAE — as required.
Business Partnering
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to department heads, providing data-driven guidance to support operational decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, HR, and Legal to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Present financial findings, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to the Board and executive leadership team.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance analysts and accountants.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the finance function.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity positions — including digital asset treasury exposure.
- Identify financial risks, including those specific to crypto and digital asset operations, and develop robust mitigation strategies.
- Support treasury activities including banking relationships, debt management, and regulatory capital requirements.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or CFO-level role.
- ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification — mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Established relationships with UAE banking institutions and regulatory bodies — particularly ADGM, VARA, and/or CBUAE.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards and UAE financial regulations, including Corporate Tax, VAT, and DIFC/ADGM frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, FP&A methodologies, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to operate with confidence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice to Have
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance or a related discipline.
- CFA or CMA certification as a supplementary qualification.
- Experience in crypto, blockchain, or Web3 companies — including digital asset accounting, token economics, DeFi protocols, or crypto treasury management.
- Understanding of regulatory and tax considerations related to digital assets and cryptocurrency transactions in the UAE and globally.
- Background in technology, digital transformation, or management consulting industries.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Prior experience in a high-growth, PE-backed, or publicly traded company environment.
