Role Description
Riverhaus Signature Homes Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to supervise, manage, and execute all civil and structural aspects of assigned projects. The role requires a strong technical background, leadership in site coordination, and adherence to design standards, authority requirements, and project timelines.
The ideal candidate must hold a G+12 Municipality Approval (Consultant Category) and possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering consultancy environment within the UAE. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical & Site Supervision
- Act as the main technical advisor on-site for subcontractors, site engineers, and workers.
- Review, verify, and interpret drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy.
- Ensure all materials and work performed comply with approved specifications, standards, and drawings.
- Set out, level, and survey the site in coordination with the project team.
- Oversee quality control, health, and safety compliance on-site.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in coordination with consultants and clients.
2. Project Management
- Support the Project Manager in preparing project schedules, BOQs, and progress reports.
- Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely completion of civil works.
- Participate in developing milestone schedules and short-term work programs.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring execution within approved budgets.
- Implement value engineering practices to optimize cost and performance.
- Review and approve civil works prior to consultant or client inspections.
3. Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities for project-related matters and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Dubai Municipality building codes, regulations, and by-laws.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings and report updates to management.
- Maintain clear communication with internal departments to align project execution strategies.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to project progress and performance.
- Contribute to management reports including dashboards, milestone updates, cost tracking, and risk assessments.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for continuous improvement.
5. PMO & Development Support
- Work closely with the PMO to ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and documentation requirements.
- Support procurement and contract management through technical evaluations of materials and suppliers.
- Assist in maintaining a qualified list of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in project closeout activities and ensure final handover documentation is complete.
- Continuously develop professional skills through training and site experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid G+12 Municipality Approval.
- Minimum 6 years of UAE experience in an Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, standards, and authority procedures.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, MS Project, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
