Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise, monitor and inspect all activities carried out by the Contractor on site in accordance with the approved shop drawings, materials, method statements and ITPs.

• Assure that the materials and workmanship of executed works on site meet to the required levels of quality.

• Maintain regular records of actual work progress on site to assist the review and evaluation of Contractor's submitted interim payments.

• Make special notes and report on any issues on site that may trigger cost or time claims. • Liaise with the Contractor team in a fair and firm manner.

• Adhere to the approved HSE rules and procedures on site and ensure Contractor's team compliance with the same.

• Review and verify the daily reports submitted by the Contractor and keep records of the same.

• Witness and supervise materials sampling and testing procedures, and inspect and keep records of the delivered materials to site.

• Resolve daily generated site issues in coordination with the Resident Engineer. • Check and approve the Day work records submitted by the Contractor.

• Review and comment on the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports submitted by the Contractor. • Attend site technical and progress meetings as may be directed and requested by the Resident Engineer.

• Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.

• Carry out all the necessary inspections during the snagging, de-snagging and handing over processes of the project and maintain records of the same to assist the issuance of taking over Certificate accordingly.

• Inspect and keep records of the rectification works carried out by the Contractor during the Defects Liability Period.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational Background: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering

• Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in site supervision, and construction management profession.

• Skills:

-Thorough knowledge of construction practices, techniques, materials and equipment. Thorough knowledge of engineering plans, specifications and drawings.

-Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and blueprints and to compare them with various aspects of construction in progress; ability to detect errors in construction projects.

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, property owners and associates; ability to effect satisfactory compliance with specifications and standards.

Ability to maintain accurate records.

-Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment and manage pressure. Detail-oriented, dependable, trustworthy, self-directed and highly- motivated.

- Excellent Arabic and -English verbal and written communication skills.
