Position Objective
- To lead and manage Cloud and Core Network Planning functions, ensuring business demands are translated into structured technical and financial plans.
- The role is accountable for impact assessments, capacity dimensioning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, while providing governance and oversight for related technology programs to enable scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure evolution.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Lead the development of long-term Cloud and Core Network planning strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives and transformation priorities.
- Define planning principles, technology evolution paths, and investment priorities to support sustainable growth.
- Oversee business demand intake, evaluation, and prioritization, translating requirements into integrated technical and financial plans.
- Establish governance for demand approval, scope definition, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Own the capacity planning lifecycle, including dimensioning, forecasting, and resource optimization.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models and utilization KPIs to proactively address future needs.
- Lead CAPEX and OPEX planning cycles and develop investment cases.
- Ensure financial alignment, cost efficiency, and adherence to approved budgets.
- Monitor budget performance and optimize spending through prioritization and cost control.
- Ensure end-to-end coordination across stakeholders and manage interdependencies.
- Establish planning standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Drive alignment between planning, implementation, and operations teams.
- Provide planning oversight for strategic programs and monitor risks and dependencies.
- Ensure smooth transition from planning to implementation and operations.
- Track program milestones and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Act as the primary planning representative to senior management and external partners.
- Present plans, budgets, and roadmaps effectively.
- Ensure timely preparation of executive reports and dashboards.
- Identify planning-related risks including capacity gaps, technology obsolescence, and budget deviations.
- Develop mitigation plans and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to validate technical plans and assumptions.
- Support contract planning, negotiations, and scope alignment for optimal solutions and cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning methodologies, tools, and data quality.
- Promote automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in telecom or cloud environments, including at least 5 years in planning, program management, or leadership roles within a large telecom service provider.
- Strong expertise in capacity planning, budgeting, forecasting, and technology strategy.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives with both strategic and operational responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
