Position: Corporate Accountant
Reports to: Financial Manager
About the Role
The Corporate Accountant is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities across the group's entities in the UAE, KSA, and Germany.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Manage end-to-end accounting processes, from transaction recording to financial reporting and closing.
2.Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
3.Maintain cash book, execute bank transfers, and monitor cash movements.
4.Liaise with banks on financial transactions and account matters.
5.Lead invoicing and receivables collection processes to ensure accuracy and timely cash realization.
6.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
7.Maintain updated schedules for accruals, amortization, and fixed assets.
8.Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
9.Prepare and submit VAT and corporate tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax laws and regulations.
10.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
11.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
12.Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and ad-hoc reports as required.
13.Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
14.Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and IFRS standards.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with at least 2 years in the UAE.
Telecommunications industry experience is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics SL and Zoho Books).
Advanced Microsoft Excel and presentation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
