Role Description
The Cost Accountant role at SAS For Electrical Industries is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves preparing, analyzing, and monitoring cost reports for manufacturing operations, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support pricing and profitability decisions. The Cost Accountant will record and reconcile cost-related journal entries, support month-end and year-end closing, and assist in the preparation and review of financial statements. Daily tasks include variance analysis between standard and actual costs, evaluating cost drivers, and recommending improvements to cost control and efficiency. The role also includes close collaboration with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Cost Accounting and practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze Financial Statements to support decision-making.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills for cost variance analysis, forecasting, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Competence in Journal Entries (Accounting) and solid understanding of Finance principles and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CMA) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred for internal and external communication.
