Job Description

Role Purpose

The Cost Control Team Leader is responsible for leading and overseeing cost control activities across assigned infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost performance management. The role provides leadership to cost control staff and supports management in maintaining financial control and cost efficiency.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead and manage the cost control function across assigned infrastructure projects
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
  • Review and consolidate cost reports and financial performance data
  • Identify cost risks, variances, and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, QS, Planning, and Commercial teams
  • Ensure accurate cost tracking of variations, claims, and change events
  • Support monthly cost reviews and management reporting
  • Mentor and guide cost control engineers and analysts
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and reporting standards
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
  • Professional certification in cost or project controls is an advantage
  • 8–12 years experience in cost control within infrastructure or construction projects
  • Proven experience leading or supervising cost control teams
  • Strong understanding of project financial controls and reporting
  • UAE or GCC infrastructure experience preferred
