We are currently looking for a Cost Manager in a site-based project located in Sheikh Zayed in Egypt.
What This Job Involves
Provide support to cost and commercial leadership in the delivery of pre- and post-contract services.
Manage and update project budgets.
Take suitable commercial meeting minutes.
Use CostX, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs to an advanced level.
Work pre contract including reviewing detailed measurements, sections of BOQs, handle tender query responses, manage the PQQ process with support and input into value engineering at each design stage.
Work post contract including being strong in contract administration, comfortable on-site walks with project teams, prepare cash flow reports, draft monthly payment recommendations and weekly commercial dashboards, managing variations and assist in closing out projects and claims / variations.
Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and Key Performance Indicators
Maintain register of variation orders with approval status and costs
Maintain and monitor registers of insurances, bonds, guarantees, and payments with status and relevant details
Monitor and report on cost performance against the Project Budget
Maintain comprehensive records of all commercial correspondence and documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years experience in contract and cost management within the Middle East construction market.
Minimum 2 years in a senior QS role managing complex projects.

Degree in a related subject (BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field)
MRICS would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience pre and post contract in project / programme delivery teams.
