Design Engineer- Electrical Switchgear

Job Decsription

• Review project SLD, specification and technical documents.
• Provide compliance with deviations to the project specifications.
• Develop detailed drawings with GA, SLD, Schematics and BOM.
• Perform BB sizing, heat dissipation, short circuit calculations, etc.
• Visit project sites as required for the design to match as per site condition.
• Attend meeting with client/consultants for design clarifications.
• Ensure design meets IEC standards and local regulations.
• Prepare & submit technical submittals, follow up and get authority approvals.
• Release BOM for procurement and approved drawings for production.
• Support procurement for product selection and stores for incoming material inspection.
• Support production for panel assembly and QC for trouble shooting & testing.
• Coordinate with QC and site teams for successful FAT and SAT.
• Prepare O&M manuals and project closeout documents.
• Prepare training manuals and give training to customer's O&M team.
• Maintain proper documents and records of all design related activities.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge in LV system design, product selection and IEC standards.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Eplan, ERP systems & communication protocols.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaborating with consultants & clients.
• Attention to detail, ability to solve problems, technical and analytical skills.

Competency

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3 years / Diploma with 5 years Experience.
