Design Manager

As part of its continued growth and expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join its development team in Dubai. This is an exciting opportunity for a design professional to play a key role in shaping landmark developments and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design development process from concept through detailed design and construction documentation.
• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design consultants, including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants.
• Ensure design solutions align with project briefs, business plans, market positioning, and development objectives.
• Review and challenge design proposals to optimize functionality, aesthetics, operational efficiency, and value.
• Drive innovation and design excellence across all projects.
• Monitor consultant performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, RERA regulations, building codes, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Review technical submissions, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
• Conduct value engineering exercises while maintaining project quality and design intent.
• Review design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives.
• Provide design management support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups.
• Resolve design-related issues arising during construction.
