Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Director, Management Consulting to lead complex client engagements, manage senior client relationships, and contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the consulting practice. The Director plays a critical role in shaping client solutions, driving business development, and developing high-performing consulting teams.

This role is ideal for experienced consultants who combine deep problem-solving expertise with commercial acumen and are preparing for Partner or Principal-level leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Delivery

  • Serve as a day-to-day executive sponsor for client engagements, ensuring delivery excellence and measurable impact
  • Lead multiple complex consulting engagements across strategy, operations, and transformation initiatives
  • Advise senior client stakeholders (VP, SVP, C-suite) on critical business challenges and strategic decisions
  • Shape engagement scope, approach, and deliverables in alignment with client objectives

Business Development & Growth

  • Lead proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiations for new and existing clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and target markets
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies, offerings, and thought leadership
  • Support revenue growth and pipeline development aligned with practice goals

Team & Practice Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop consulting managers, senior associates, and associates
  • Build high-performing teams through coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Support talent recruitment, onboarding, and capability development
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, culture building, and operational excellence

Thought Leadership & Expertise

  • Develop and articulate points of view on industry trends and emerging client needs
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Drive continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 58 years of progressive experience in management consulting or a relevant advisory role
  • Proven track record of leading complex consulting engagements end-to-end
  • Experience managing senior client stakeholders and influencing executive decision-making
  • Strong business development and proposal leadership experience
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree
  • Industry specialization in one or more sectors (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology, energy)
  • Experience working in a top-tier consulting firm or high-growth boutique
  • Exposure to international or multi-market engagements
