About the Role
King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) is seeking for an experienced Landscaping Areas Design Director Leading Landscaping Areas across airport developments, ensuring alignment with KSIADC's overall strategy and aviation requirements. It oversees the end-to-end design process, from feasibility and concept development to detailed design, approvals, and site implementation, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and compliant outcomes.
The position focuses on enhancing the airport environment through well-integrated landscaping solutions that improve passenger experience, safety, and operational efficiency. It also ensures effective budget utilization, alignment with project timelines, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Landscaping Design business and operational plans aligned with KSIADC strategy.
- Support execution of plans to achieve Landscaping Areas Design objectives.
- Provide input to budgeting and ensure efficient utilization of the budget.
- Monitor and report on performance, challenges, and deviations.
- Oversee feasibility studies, site assessments, and analysis of operational, regulatory, and future aviation requirements.
- Lead conceptual and detailed design development, ensuring compliance with standards and aviation requirements.
- Oversee design of green spaces, walkways, lighting, and landscape features to enhance aesthetics, safety, and passenger experience.
- Ensure use of sustainable solutions (e.g., native and drought-resistant plants).
- Approve design packages, technical documentation, and material standards.
- Manage permits and regulatory approvals required for design execution.
- Align design timelines with overall project schedules and manage risks and delays.
- Oversee cost estimates and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Monitor contractor guidelines, site implementation, testing, and commissioning.
- Review and approve change requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement based on industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather feedback, address challenges, and stay informed on market and regulatory developments.
- Support recruitment and development of team members.
- Set performance objectives, provide guidance, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with KSIADC values.
Education
• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or equivalent is required
• A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent is preferred
Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in similar role or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial position
