The Role
The Aspen Technology Inc. business unit within Emerson is seeking a Director of Professional Services for our Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This position will report into the Global Vice President of Professional Services. This role involves overseeing project lifecycle, managing resources and budgets, improving service strategies, and collaborating with other departments to align services with business goals. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, client relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
Your Impact
- Team and Project management: Lead a professional services team, manage project execution from initiation to completion, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Client relationship management: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, build and maintain strong relationships, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Strategic planning and development: Develop and implement service strategies, improve operational processes, and align services with client needs and market trends.
- Resource and budget management: Oversee budgets, allocate resources effectively, and collaborate with other departments to meet demand.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with other regional managers, practice leaders, sales, product, marketing, and finance teams to ensure the professional services department supports the company's overall strategy.
What You'll Need
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, management, or engineering is typically required. Advanced degrees preferred but not required.
- Experience: A minimum of 15+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, and/or a similar leadership role are necessary. Deployment of software within the oil and gas or chemicals space required.
- Leadership and management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong ability to communicate and build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
- Project management: Strong organizational and project management skills with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Travel: You may be required to travel up to 30% of the time within the region to support business functions and perform client visits.
