Job Purpose
To prepare joinery estimates using first principles (Labour, Plant, Materials), working in Hospitality, Retail, F&B, High End Residential, commercial sectors.
Essential Roles & Responsibilities
- Review the tender documents.
- Carry out quantity Take offs.
- Prepare BOQ's for joinery works.
- Carry out Site Visits and compile prelims and price the works accordingly.
- Send out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors, for joinery related works and complete thorough reviews of the quotations and comparison upon receipt.
- Compile pricing using plant, labour and materials.
- Identify any Value Engineering or Alternative options.
- Prepare the cover letter with qualifications and exclusions.
- Complete and present the Tender Adjudication to senior staff.
- Review, update and revise the quotation according to any PTC's
- Handover to the delivery team upon successful award.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years experience in a Joinery Company.
- Candidates must have a good knowledge of working joinery factories including, but not limited to; machinery outputs, production times and labour durations for factory and site works.
- Experience carrying out joinery estimation from first principles, working in hospitality, retail, F&B, high end residential, commercial sectors.
