What are we looking for
Events Manager
As a key member of the Commercial team at the Museum of The Future, you'll be
responsible for defining the strategy and leading the execution of all
major events and activations, ensuring alignment with organizational
objectives and revenue goals. This role oversees the entire event
lifecycle, from strategic planning and budgeting to flawless execution and
post-event analysis. The Manager acts as the primary liaison for
high-value clients and top-tier vendors, ultimately driving a superior,
world-class customer experience and enhancing the company's
reputation within the events industry.
Your role within the department
You will report to the Head of Commercial and collaborate closely with the team to ensure the department consistently delivers on events that meets the museum's objectives and standards by working closely and fostering relationships with all internal departments in the Museum and all relevant shareholders in the Events.
Your typical working week would typically cover the following:
- You will dedicate time to defining event strategy, overseeing the complete event lifecycle (from planning and budgeting to execution), and providing executive oversight to ensure seamless coordination across all internal teams
- A significant portion of your week will involve acting as the primary liaison for high-value clients, top-tier vendors, and key governmental entities. This includes attending and facilitating crucial meetings to ensure alignment and promptly address any complex issues.
- You will spend time leading, mentoring, and managing the Events team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. You will also work on designing and refining SOPs and best practices for consistent, high-quality event delivery
- You will be continuously involved in proactively identifying and mitigating operational, security, and logistical risks, ensuring strict adherence to all legal, health & safety, and permit regulations.
- A key responsibility will be managing the selection and vetting of approved catering companies for the venue, ensuring clients receive the best rates.
- Lead comprehensive post-event reviews, generating detailed reports on financial performance and customer satisfaction. This data is then used to present strategic recommendations to the Head of Commercial/Leadership Team for long-term service improvement.
Are you the right fit for the role
- You need to have a bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing events within hospitality, attractions or events industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Have a proven track record in managing Large-Scale complex events.
- You have strategic vision for event design, operational expertise in managing the full lifecycle and implementing SOPs, and the critical ability to lead teams and make rapid, high-pressure decisions.
- You must excel at high-level stakeholder management, including negotiating with clients, vendors, and government entities, while successfully navigating all necessary regulatory and compliance requirements.
