This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong research skills and a healthy skepticism toward unverified information. No journalism or professional fact-checking background required — just a methodical mind and a commitment to accuracy.

What You'll Do
- Verify AI-generated facts, statistics, and claims against reliable, authoritative sources
- Flag factual errors, outdated information, and unsupported or misleading statements
- Rate the accuracy and reliability of AI outputs using structured evaluation rubrics
- Document your sources and reasoning clearly for each fact-check decision
- Work across a wide range of topics — from current events and science to history, culture, and technology
- Complete task-based assignments independently on your own schedule

- Strong research skills — you know how to find and evaluate trustworthy sources quickly
- Naturally skeptical and critical when faced with unverified claims
- Detail-oriented with a consistent, systematic approach to evaluating information
- Clear and concise written communicator
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No journalism, fact-checking, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in research, journalism, academia, or investigative writing
- Experience with source verification, data analysis, or content quality assurance
- Familiarity with AI tools or content platforms as an end user
